Voodoo Curses, also called Voodoo Cards, are a multi-faceted game feature that allows for players to Attack, Defend, Buff, and Nerf players and features. (In Progress)

== How to Obtain ==
Curses can be obtained via three methods:
# Chests
# Booster Packs
# Card Market

=== Chests ===
Chests are a free time restricted method of obtaining up to four free curses per day. 
Chests consists of three Chest Types:
#Daily Chests
#* Can be opened once every 12 hours.
#* Gives one random voodoo.
#* Common chance : ??
#* Uncommon chance : ??
#* Rare chance : ?? 
#Daily Friend Chests
#* Can be sent once every 24 hours.
#* Gives one random same voodoo to both you and your friend.
#* Common chance : ??
#* Uncommon chance : ??
#* Rare chance : ??
#* No limit on number of friends that can send a curse to you, but you can only send one per 24 hours. 
#Marriage Chest
#* Gives one voodoo from your wife/husband at minimum every 24 hours.
#* Common chance : ??
#* Uncommon chance : ??
#* Rare chance : ??
#* Time between openings is dependent on Romance Level with wife/husband.
#* The lower the Romance Level, the longer the wait between Marriage Chests.

=== Booster Packs ===
Booster Packs are a pay for method of obtaining Curses. 
Booster Packs can be obtained from the Voodoo Headquarters Page using the ''Get Voodoo Curses'' Link or the ''Witch Doctor'' Link on the right side bar. 
Each Booster pack costs 20 Credits. 
Each Booster Pack contains at total of 15 Curses consisting of: 
* 10 Random Common Curses
* 4 Random Uncommon Curses
* 1 Random Rare Curse

Voodoo Curses can also be bought and sold on the [[Markets|Card Market]].

== Effect Types ==
There are three effect types for voodoo curses: 
# Instant
#* Effect is of a single instance at the time of the cast.
#* Effect is not time related.
# Enchantment
#* Effect is of a time duration, measured in hours.
#* Effect will remain on the target until time expires or the curse is cleared.
#* Stackable
#** Multiplies the effect by the number of active casts of the same curse on the target.
#** Not all enchantments are stackable.
#** Stacking is limited. Stack limit is provided in the curse details.
#** Stacking does not increase or decrease the duration.
# Artifacts
#* Instant Effect that affects only the caster.
#** Can only be cast on oneself.
#* Cannot be blocked.

There are (4) Target Types:

== Specialty Effects ==
There are (6) six types of specialty effects:
# Avenge
#* Conditional Ability
#** If target has cast (3) three or more curses cast against the caster in the last 24 hours, the curses effect is multiplied by the Avenge Power
#** Avenge Power is listed in the curse details
#** Activating condition is only checked at the time of the cast
#** Effect will remain active during the entire time duration
# Flip A Coin
#* Curse has 50% Fail chance
#* Only caster knows of the failure
# No Fail
#* Curse ignores all blocking curses
# No Pirate
#* Cannot target a player who flies the Jolly Roger (A Pirate)
# Piercing
#* Curse has a chance to ignores blocking curses
#** Chance percentage is listed in the curse details
# Undercover
#* Caster remains unseen
#** Dependent on [[Game Mechanics|Fame]]
#*** At the time of the cast, target's fame must be more than half of your current fame but less then double your current fame for the effect to apply
#**** (X/2 ≤ Y ≤ 2X) Where X = Caster's Fame, and Y = Target's Fame.
